Bo Bice Felled by Health Complications
According to 'our friend', Roger Widynowski, an RCA Records rep, Bice didn't collapse, but was rushed to the hospital once he presented symptoms of distress on Sunday night. Bo was rushed to a hospital, reportedly coughing up blood, blamed on symptoms of complications from his previous intestinal blockage surgery. During rehearsal for the 2005 Radio Music Awards held at the Aladdin Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Bice began showing difficulty in performing and began to cough up blood.
Bo Bice will not be able to do "The Jimmy Kimmel Live Show" either, and has been replaced by Juelz Santana.
I am concerned over the fact that since Bo's surgery, he has not seemed to put on any weight, his face has continued to look so drawn and pale. I would have thought that within a month or so following surgery he'd have gained a few pounds, regained some color in his face, so I have to surmise that he has continued with some issues concerning the intestinal situation and has not wanted to let on or have the press invovled regarding this personal matter. It leads me to be concerned for him that this situation is not going away.

Bo Bice:day 3 after release...
"Next week, expect American Idol runner-up Bo Bice's rock debut, Real Thing, to crack the Top Ten. The Alabama native's first effort features collaborations with Nickelback's Chad Kroeger, Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora and hit songwriter John Shanks."
Rolling Stone Magazine
Currently Bo Bice's new CD is cruising at Number 26 in sales at Amazon.com.
Barnes & Nobles has him listed at Number 23, in sales.
Under the "What's New" under B&N, Bice's CD pops up first ...under "Pop". Well better than nothing, but "Pop" I guess it'll have to be for now.
Bice needs radio time and I haven't been hearing it; requests to local stations have been falling on deaf ears but will try further...
I have e.mailed The Bone radio station; why can't we hear The Biceman on the radio anyplace here in Dallas (except for my CD player, that is)?
Anyone willing to contact The Bone to back me up click the link. You'll have to become "a bonehead" but hey, aren't we all sometime anyway? It is probably one of the biggest ROCK radio stations in Dallas. I don't see "Classic Rock" giving him airtime as all they seem to fixate on are the same 40 old tunes over and over again. Then there are some alternative stations, but they stick to their genre' and Bo doesn't meld into that category. Then there are the rap stations, and well, we don't even need to think about that; or maybe we do it could be humerous...in a non-humerous kind of way.
It is unfortuneate to me that Dallas radio just "ain't what it used to be" but I'll save that topic for another day and another rant.
Come on The Bone! Humor me; tickle My funny Bone, play some of "The Real Thing".
Much Love
The Early Show
The Biceman shared with us this morning that not only can he belt out some sexed up Christmas tunes, he also loves to cook. I'll bet his breakfast in bed achieves a 5-Star rating. Waffles ala Bice with HOT syrup and melted butter... And yeah, while we're talking about it, how about some of that Lasagne-a-la-Bice?
Caroline, sweetheart, you're killing me.
Bo Bice ROCKED "Merry Christmas Baby" this mornin'! He started out with the tune "Valley of Angels" then merged into "Merry Christmas Baby". I was put in mind of The King, how he rocked Yule Tide tunes (yes, another Elvis comparison); well The Biceman need never be shy about "rocking him some" Christmas tunes...
I'm gonna be "Merry Christmas"-baby-ing, allll day looonnnngg.

Quickie Review by Monstersandcritics.com
I love this review:
"'The Real Thing' - BO BICE
Anyone who wondered how 'American Idol' runner-up Bo Bice might convincingly channel his retro rock roots into mainstream radio fodder need give 'The Real Thing' only a single listen.
Written and produced by A-list hitmakers Kara DioGuardi and Marti Frederiksen, the midtempo pop/rocker is so ideally suited to the affable Bice that the show`s lingering reputation for cheesy dramatics is effectively whisked out the door. 'Real' is certainly catchy, but not at the expense of an arrangement meaty enough for Bice to sink his seasoned chops into with satiating panache.
The rocker`s innate talent and star quality were already undisputed; now he has the song to make him a star. A perfect vehicle."

VH-1 Article
In typical Biceman fashion, Bo Bice remains true to self and his selflessness as outlined in this article from VH-1:
"LOS ANGELES — Bo Bice is in denial. The credits on his debut album, The Real Thing, due Tuesday, include Nickelback's Chad Kroeger, former Evanescence guitarist Ben Moody, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora. And yet Bo still refuses to call them his peers."
He goes on to call himself 'just a regular cat' and considers the ability to have been able to work with the other artists on his CD as an incredible learning experience.
"When you're put in the position to hang out with these guys, you wanna try to learn from them," Bo said. "And every one of them were just so nice, man, and I was just so proud to be a part of this."
"It's an inspirational album just because there was so much going on with me," he said. "I'm not a big reader, so this is my book, man, this is my book on tape. That's all songwriters are: storytellers telling about situations."
Bo did co-write two of the tracks, "It's My Life" with Magness and Dioguardi, and "Valley of Angels" with Magness. According to the story, Bo was playing the latter on an acoustic guitar one day when Magness overheard. "He was like, 'What is that?' " Bo recalled. "And I was like, 'It's a song about angels, I wrote it like four years ago, but it needs something." Bo said. "It's a song that I wrote for my Aunt Pam who passed away, and it's about a peaceful place and the [mindset] that if it's not good right now, it's gonna get better eventually." Magness had Bo record the song on the spot and then took the recording with him for a few days. When he brought it back to Bo, the song had a choir and an organ part. "It's so nice for me, 'cause someone is taking something that's precious to me and they've shaped it and molded it into something that's new."
This track is getting some of the most positive feed by those who have heard it.
The DualDisc version of "The Real Thing" includes three tracks Bo recorded with his pre-"Idol" band, Sugar Money. And if all goes well, more of his originals will come out in the future. This is one of the "bonus features" of the Dual Disc; among other features it offers.
Future Bo Bice to look forward to: Bo is shooting the video for The Real Thing's title track in January and he has plans to hit the road in the spring. Link

Bo Bice: "You're Everything"
According to "our" (Bo - fans) friend Roger W. (RCA/SONY) "The Isaac Mizrahi Show" ia taping today but is not scheduled to actually air until January. I'm going to try and find the date from Roger and post it later.
Bo Bice was Bo-dorable on "The Today Show" and "Live with Regis and Kelly" today. I love that song (I previously and erroneously thought it was "Anything for You" but it is actually
You're Everything). You'll have to scroll down and turn off "Papion" then click the link to hear this new tune. Coming in January I will revise this site so we don't have to go through that!
Hot band with him; they sound really good and LOOK really good too. (Sorry S$)
Bo Bice also gave a 'shout-out' to his little son Aiden, "Love you, son, be good." Sweet. He is still looking on the thin side, pale. That gastrointestinal problem and surgery event must have almost killed him.
Happy to see The Biceman back in action.

"The Real Thing" sampler pack (so to speak)
Thank you "ThreeDimen" off my favorite outside site, "Bona Fide Bice". Here is a little piece of nice writing(again):
(from ThreeDimen) "Now, you all know I love to snark on one Mr. Bo Bice.
But when I say I snark because I love, I mean that quite literally.
I don’t love him in the typical squeeing fangirl kind of way, although he is a fine looking man. But believe me, Mr. ThreeDimen has nothing to worry about, and Caroline Bice even less so. If you’ll indulge me a little, I’d like to explain what this love looks like.
When I was in school, music was a huge part of my life. But since then, not so much. I had pretty much stopped listening without ever knowing why. But I still enjoyed American Idol, and when I saw Bo I really enjoyed it. I was wowed by Whipping Post, and finally drank the Kool-Aid when I heard Vehicle. I found Papillon online, and starting listening to it.
I listened to it a lot.
One day as I listened (yet again) to Papillon, suddenly Bo’s voice had led me into another place, and I was standing on the rocking deck of a ship at night, with stars overhead and salt in the air. There I watched Papillon in a place he didn’t want to be, and all around me was the sound and the stars and the music and the rocking deck and the voice.
And then something else happened. Listening to that song and that voice, I realized it had been years since I had felt that way about music. I sing a little, and I think I had spent the last decade listening to vocals — good or bad — and arrangements and instruments, but not to the Music. But there was the Music again, rushing back to me in Papillon. And I cried then, sad because of all those lost years, and joyous because music had found its way home to me.
So when I listened to this clip of Valley of Angels, that’s why I burst into tears. Because while I really like the rest of the songs off The Real Thing that I’ve heard, that’s the voice — that’s the sound — that gave music back to me. That’s the voice that accompanied me this fall on long drives up and down I-5 to visit my dying father, when grief was threatening to swallow me whole. And when that voice that’s brought me joy and comfort sings about being surrounded by God’s faith and glory, and finally finding peace there? He’s telling my story too.
And that’s why I can love a man I’ve never met and never will meet, because he gave something real and precious and wonderful back to me.
And that’s why I’m still crying.
Godspeed, Bo Bice."
("ThreeDimen" ends her piece.)
I believe I have found a Bo-soulmate.

Bo Bice on "Tonight Show"! Beautiful Bo
How I wish I had the techno-capability to have been able to record his appearance to play on my site! Bo Bice looked amazing, he sounded great; was so wonderful to get to see him perform; it has been a while. He has such a unique presence; he can emote across any media format. I look forward to seeing him live and in person at the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" show, December 20th.
I was remembering the first time I watched American Idol; my grandmother had passed away and I was on the couch, sad, and just not feeling well. I am hardly ever still it is difficult for me to sit long enough to watch anything much on TV. That night I needed some escapism and found A.I. I watched it and became completely consumed with the whole concept of this show and what it offers; hope, dreams, discovery.
This last season I was thrilled to discover Bo Bice; he has inspired me in many creative endeavors and for that I am glad.
(By the way, the 'fridge is still 'not well' but the tree lights are repaired thanks to my ever patient husband's efforts.)
Beautiful, Bo Bice! Thank you.
Much Love.

Ben Moody comments on Bo Bice
In an excerpt from Ben Moody's blogsite:
"As some of you may know, I've recently wrapped two big projects..."
(listed at number 2.) "the most recent was Bo Bice, american idol runner up. the song is called "my world" and was written by mitch allen. as you can all imagine, i wasn't at all interested in another american idol nor did i expect to repeat the same chemistry i had with kelly. BUT, i had been nurturing the song with mitch for nearly a year, and i must tell you, bo bice is just a fucking star. and i mean old school rock star. he can stand there with an acoustic guitar and play classic rock tunes for an hour and you'll never lose interest, then go out for drinks and he'll do a two hour stand up routine. the guy is just a star and i strongly encourage you ALL to support him because he is the real deal. shows up on time, ready to work, loves life, takes NO ONE for granted, says thank you, remembers everyones name. and let me tell you something, THAT IS RARE. and in my opinion,... should be rewarded. Bo... i wish you all the best, brother."
Ben Moody got to see "The Real Thing" that Bo Bice is; as will the rest of the world soon. Bo is not just a 'pretty face' and an amazing voice; he is an amazing person.

Bo Bice RCA Site; improving...
It appears that the "powers-that-be" operating the RCA Bo Bice site have greatly improved their site!
Previously it contained relatively no information except what the posters in the forum contributed. Bo Bice deserves more than what the old site had previously offered. I really like the new look, great photos and "The Real Thing" music! I guess somebody is listening!!! Click the link to hear some Bo!
