Bo & Caroline Are Married!
According to rumours of the marriage license pick up and then confirmation of that fact, according to Bo's 'Sugarmoney' website, Bo and Caroline did indeed complete the act! Congrats to you both! Incidentally on The View appearance, he was at the time, apparently already hitched! I am guessing that he had been requested by the A.I. and R.C.A. powers- that-be to keep mum about this turn of events! Also with all the on-going press and media blitzing, his bride may have not wanted the additional stress that would have accompanied the News!

Bo and Caroline apply for Marriage License
Helena's Bo Bice, girlfriend apply for marriage license
By Brandon Gresham/Reporter Staff Writer
American Idol finalist Bo Bice made a quick appearance at the Shelby County Courthouse last week to take yet another big step in his now-famous life.
Bice was with girlfriend, or fianc/ as she is now known, to register for a marriage license on June 15.
Harold Edwin "Bo" Bice, 29, officially registered for the license with Caroline Merrin Fisher, 24, both of Helena.
According to a People magazine article written on Bice following the end of American Idol, he and Fisher have been dating for around two years. Bice talked about his relationship with Fisher in a June 23 interview with Rolling Stone Magazine. He said the two share a modest two-bedroom home together alongside their three dogs, three cats and two turtles.
There has been no public announcement of the couple's wedding plans, and family friends are staying tight-lipped about the engagement.
Attempts by the Reporter to contact Bice or his manager at RCA records were unsuccessful.

Bo Comes out on Top!
June 28, 2005
Bo Wins About Poll for Best Version Of "Inside Your Heaven"As was the case on the regular season of American Idol, winner Carrie Underwood and runner-up Bo Bice have their own very strong fan followings among About Top 40 readers. This time, however, it was Bo who came out on top. In our week long poll, Alabaman Bo Bice came out on top for the best version of the single "Inside Your Heaven" with 150,165 or 56% of the vote to Carrie's 117,533 or 44%. The lead seesawed back and forth for much of the week. Clearly, these are two of the strongest contestants American Idol has yet produced. May both Bo and Carrie turn out to be enduring stars once their recording careers are fully underway. Thanks to all who voted!

Bo Bice's 'Inside your Heaven' Tops Chart in Sales!
Meanwhile, over on the singles chart, the American Idol-spawned "Inside Your Heaven" was tops for a second straight week. But this time, it was runner-up Bice's rendition that outsold all comers, moving 106,000. While Underwood's version slipped to second with 71,000 copies, she did sell more first-week copies (130,000) than her former TV rival. Bice and Underwood will go at it again on the album charts this fall, when their solo albums are due to drop.

In Touch Magazine
Hey check out the June 27th issue of In Touch Magazine, page 62 - 63 a story & an 8" x 10" photo of Bo Bice!!! In the article he talks about the emotionalism of flying in to New York City and the twin towers not there; last trip he made to New York they were still standing...
Bo talks about his music, wanting to put out tunes that are genuine, rootsy, a blend of say, Pearl Jam and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Bo also clarifies his statement regarding being glad that he did not win the A.I. top spot; basically he is very grateful for the opportunity A.I. has given him, to be in the spotlight, to get noticed and have his (great, in my opinion) talent recognized. Being pigeonholed as the top runner in A.I. would have made it much more difficult to do his own music. Great photo, see the article.

The View
Bo appeared as a co-host on The View June 22; I wasn't impressed with the reception the 'ladies' gave him. Never watch that show as I find Viera and the gang a little too self-important to be endured for very long. Bo performed one song at the end, but for the most part wasn't 'allowed' to speak much. His attempts to contribute to the conversations were overall met with one of them opening their self-important yaps and drowning him out. Poor Ms. Viera is also definitely under the impression to be addressed as "ma'am" must be some form of insult; she flashed angry when Bo deferred to her as such. 'Southern man don't need her around, anyhow...' Bo's gentle Southern manners were definitely lost on 'Ms. New York'!

The Today Show
Bo Bice was B0-utiful on the Today Show this morning! I especially liked the last song he performed at the end of the show, "Changing for the Better". He played his guitar and the harmonica, sort of Bob Dylan-esque, yet in his own style not a replica performance. He's going to make history with his music. CD is out tomorrow! To bad "Changing for the Better" was not on it too!
Go to the Today Show web page and watch Bo perform "Vehicle". Today show calls him 'the Amazing Bo Bice' and he is!

Dallas Morning News June19th People section
This article was scanned as it appeared this morning out of the Dallas Morning News! Bo is pictured next to article on Cold Play's Chris Martin, only Bo is in a larger more prominent article! Bo talks about why it is that he really did not want to win the A.I. title. Basically if he would have won he'd be required to play only the tunes set out byA.I. and not his choice of music, his music! I had the distinct impression that in the last week of the competition he was not performing 100%, he was holding back; it just did not fit in my impressions of Bo that he WANTED to be named American Idol as it does not 'jive' with his 'vibe'! Rumors also were out that Bo had food poisoning, but I did not think that is what created the 'holding back' feel to his performance; and I am not saying he deliberately threw the contest, but I do think he knew what route would be the best for him to go down! Love that Bo!

Bo Bice hasn't traded his grandma-made rocker threads for Hollywood's designer labels just yet.
While fellow "American Idol" contestants change hairdos and fashion styles weekly, the Alabama native remains true to his down-home garb _ sometimes fringed and earthy, at times glossy liquid leather _ and his signature, shoulder-length locks.
"They tried to do highlights, they tried to cut his hair _ Bo says no," said his mother, Nancy Downes. (Attempts at Willie Nelson-style braids and a run-in with a hair iron were also no-nos.)
Heading into Tuesday's final four match, Bice's fans in his hometown of Helena are watching even closer for any changes. They don't expect any from the 29-year-old Southern heartthrob who still wears the vintage attire designed and sewn by his grandmother and jewelry created by a local bead artist.
Bice is expected to wear the latest "really wild" creation from Grandma Madge Schofield and a jade necklace crafted by Helena artist Lora Popwell during Tuesday's performance, Downes said.
"Pretty much everybody knows the Bo on TV is who you get," said John Cooper, bassist and back up singer in Bice's band, SugarMoney.
His loyalty is evident: He has a steady girlfriend, a menagerie of dogs, cats and turtles, and a town that defends him like blood _ especially after he claimed Helena as his hometown over metros like his birthplace of Huntsville and better-known, nearby Birmingham.
Signs reading "Go Bo Go" are plastered all over Helena's storefronts, churches and City Hall building, and the Bice Squad fan club is looking for members.
"He's very loyal. You didn't hear a lot of negativity about him until Smoking Gun got a hold of it," said Helena spokeswoman Joy Childers, referring to a recent report by thesmokinggun.com about Bice's two drug arrests over the past four years.
By all accounts, the 10,000-population city stood by Bice during the ordeal, which had little effect on his popularity on the show.
Bice has emerged as an unexpected favorite, steadily gaining respect from the three "Idol" judges. When fellow rocker Constantine Maroulis was knocked off in the April 27 episode, Bice stepped into the forefront as the judges' "true rock star."
Well, more like a rocker with a soft spot for stray pets, Moon Pies and his mom. Around town, he's known as a good Christian, devoted to the New Hope church and his friends. At home, he's the family's beloved "hippie perfectionist."
Born in Huntsville, Bice spent most of his life between Alabama and Georgia, with close ties to his mother, grandmother and aunts. His parents divorced when he was 3, and the next few years spent in Atlanta were particularly hard on the toddler and his single mom.
"He's been considered a momma's boy," Downes said. "There were nights when we were struggling with a mattress on the floor of a one-bedroom apartment, eating spaghetti every night."
"It was really tough. That's the reason I think we are so close," she said.
Bice's family grew, with another brother _ a clean-cut U.S. Marine _ and later two stepsisters and a stepfather he considers his dad.
Downes said she always encouraged Bice's love of rock 'n' roll, and even the image that went along with it. Bice has sported his lengthy locks for as long as she can remember: "He's had the hair from Day 1. Bo's hair used to be down to his waist. We just hated him because it was so beautiful."
A job transfer by his stepdad pulled him to London during his high school years, before he returned to Alabama and joined a garage band called Purge. As some band members moved on to other jobs, Bice consistently played with two _ Shane Sexton and Cooper _ and created the three-member SugarMoney in 1999.
While music was always the main focus, Bice still had to pursue odd jobs to pay the bills: pizza parlor employee, apartment maintenance man, landscaping.
"He's the best on a Weed Eater," recalls Cooper.
The band has remained supportive, Cooper says, with no worries of being ditched: "It makes me feel good to know that all those years we were playing to the ashtrays, playing to nobody, was worth it for somebody."
